CLL Rules Girls and Boys

Girls & Boys 5/6th  12U Gameplay 7v7 Format of game Half-Field gameplay 2-3-2 + Goalie 

  • 7v7 Field players boys & girls) + Goalie: 2 attackers, 3 midfielders, and 2 defenders + Goalie.

ALL CLL Game Length:  2 | 22min Halfs Running time.

  • Faceoffs/ or Draw at each Goal Boys/Girls
  • 1 time out per team/running time (2min timeout) at any time of the game.
  • Games start and end with a field Horn. 
  • 3min halftime on a Horn and the game resumes on a horn.

Boys Rules:

  • No (Take Out) Body Checks.
  • 3-yard Contact Rule
  • Targeting take-out Checks Fouls is an Automatic Ejection •
  • No One-Handed Stick Checks are an Automatic Slash
  • All penalties 1min in the box served/unless it is an Ejection 

Girls Rules: 

  • The 3-second Rule will remain at the 8-meter arc.
  • No stick-checking player with the ball in her sphere
  • No checking the cross
  • Checks will be controlled | Checking will be below the shoulder only, A check to the head is an automatic card Yellow.
  • Obstruct free space to goal, “shooting space” shooter will have a free shot.
  • Shoot dangerously or without control. A dangerous shot is when the shooter looks and shoots at a defender that is in front of the shooter.
  • Must Not: Guard a ground ball with a foot or crosse or cover the ball with the crosse.
  • Draw: either player draws too soon, the movement of the crosse is not up and away, moves before the whistle or the ball does not go higher than the heads of the players taking the draw will be a do-over.

Girls/Boys Goalkeeper:

  • must not: Drag the ball into her goal circle, when any part of her is grounded outside the circle.
  • Goal circle reentry: Once the goalie leaves the crease with the ball, she MUST pass to a teammate with no re-entry.
  • Boys 4 seconds to get out of the crease after a shoot | Girls 10 seconds

Mercy Rule • During the 2nd Half Only • Once the score differential reaches 10 goals (e.g., 10-0 or 13–3) • Trailing Team's Head Coach has the option to start with possession of the ball at midfield or faceoff. • Once the score reverts to 5 goals or less, standard faceoff rules apply.

 

Boys 7/8th 14U Format 10 players Goalie and 9 field players.

  • Full Field boys 10 v 10 Goalie: 3 attackers, 3 midfielders, and 3 defenders 

Girls 7/8th Format 12 player Goalie and 11 field players.

  • Full Field girls 12 v 12 Goalie: 4 attackers, 3 midfielders, and 4 defenders
